Support the constitution
I just wanted to take a quick few minutes to mention that we should support the constitution. What do you know about the constitution? The first amendment gives freedom of speech. The second amendment protects the first. The fourth is why we get to tell cops they can't come in our house or apartment without a warrant. Most countries don't have rights like these. We like to think Canada or European countries are pretty much like the USA, but they are not. In Canada, citizen journalist Kevin J. Johnston was arrested for speech. In the UK, Youtuber, Count Dankula, was convicted for "offensive speech" because he made his girlfriend's dog lift his paw to the command "seig heil." The idea was to annoy his girlfriend who was spending more time wi…

Nice, France attack
A large terror attack in Nice (pronounced 'niece'), France was reported last night at 10:30pm ET. A man - who has not been offically identified - carried out the attack by himself, killing 84 people. The area which he chose was filled with crowds who had watched fireworks, celebrating Bastille day. He used a large truck as his lethal weapon, while firing some gun shots, and carried out his destruction for 2-3miles. The man was shot and killed soon afterward.
France has strict gun laws, but that couldn't stop this attack with a truck. This just shows that possible dangers like trucks and guns aren't the problem, and the assimilation issues in Europe are.

Meeting Code.org Founder Ali Partovi
Code.org: Most of you know it, right? For those of you who don’t, similar to code academy, code.org is a website where people can learn to code. The one main difference is Code.org is more geared to teaching children. Code.org also made The Hour of Code, which is a popular event for schools around the world. The site was founded by the brothers Ali and Hadi Partovi in 2013, so when I got a chance to meet Avi I took the opportunity in a heartbeat. This is my story about meeting Avi Partovi.
In my city, there are usually tons of events that happen each day… Most I wouldn’t think about volunteering for, but when I got a request to volunteer at a coding meet I took the opportunity without much background information... all I knew is that th…
Today's news
Our FBI director James Comey recommends no charges for Hillary Clinton after she sent thousands of classified emails on a unsecure email account. She has had a private server set up at her house, also during her years in office. "Though her work-related emails were government records, she didn't turn over copies until more than 30 lawsuits were filed. Before providing her correspondence, Clinton and her lawyers witheld and subsequently deleted tens of thousands of messages that she claimed were pesonal, and not classified on multiple occasions." [1]
The FBI recovered some of those deleted emails, and found classified emails. Among them were about a dozen top secret documents, which should never have been sent on a hackable email and server. …
Bangladesh attack
There has been another terrorist attack in Bangladesh. Obama said in a speech shortly afterward, and I paraphrase, "This is another example of how easy it is for someone to get a gun and go shoot innocent civilians. Blah, blah..."
No Mr. president, no amount of gun restrictions (on Americans) can stop these Islamic extremits from getting guns. There are hundreds, maybe thousands of ways a extremist in America could get hold of a gun of any kind.
His comments are trying to shift the focus to gun control, and not how he can really stop them, which is likely their destruction. He's going to hand these problems off to our next president... who I hope isn't Obam's 3rd term.
Which one of these is not like the other.....
Do you remember when you were a kid and you would watch Sesame Street and they had this bit... Which one of these is not like the other? Well here you go.

I'm so excited the new Hebrew course just hit the Duolingo Beta!!! I've been waiting for it.
A News Story....

and in particular, I like this comment:
THIS IS HORRIBLE..... . She should have 'pulled an Obama' and spoke with the intruder as to why he was in the room. She should have proposed potential solutions to rectify the issue, once the REAL ISSUE was realized, instead of murdering this pillar of humanity in NRA-esque cold blood. Quality questions, like; - "tell me about your childhood..." - "We're you fired by some fat-cat Corporation? - "Are you hungry...?...need a drink...?" - "Are you THAT afraid of Trump...?" . These questions could have saved his life, instead, this Clint Eastwood wannabie egotisti…
Glitch Academy????
I had heard through the grape vine that people were catching glitches since KA changed over. Has anyone had anything like this???
Why use the KAOS wiki?
Some users have brought up the question as to why someone might want to use the KAOS wiki, instead of the sites directly or the wikis related to those sites.
The key here is that some people may find navigation starting on KAOS then travelling over to a main learning site easier to use. We are trying, right now, to create/fortify a menu for Khan Academy's partner content since they have removed it from their directory but the pages are still there, you just need the direct links to get to them. We also add in warnings when we notice that the content may not be appropriate for all users and we try to explain why so a reader on KAOS will have sufficient information if they are personally concerned about this, as we realize that while some of …
1492, my edit number woo hoo!
I happen to notice getting this number of edits.... In 1492, Columbus sailed the ocean blue and Dazzle got edits woo hoo! Today also marks 3 months for KAOS, so I will have an average of 500 edits per month.
Tesla
In case you hadn't noticed, I got Tesla the other day. As you can see the time stamp to state I got it at 23:46 UTC time, that was 7:46 Eastern-my time.
I've already moved to other sites. I'm working on a cool project on Scratch. Learning Scratch also means improving my skills in MS Paint, Paint.net-pronounce paint-dot-net and it's the most popular free photoshop alternative and I'm learning my free version of Photoshop. I'm getting really good and using the layers tool to make awesome graphics. I made the illumin-doge-inati to the right for AJ, as well as my "Tesla versions" of my previous profile pics by using this layers in Paint.net.
In Duolingo, I'm reviewing French and Spanish and I'm learning Italian and Russian. I've also just starte…
1,000 masteries
Hello!
As some of you may know, I've been going around both wikias trying to master a bunch of skills (Tuk and I used to race before his parents dropped the hammer on him). Well, I'm getting close to 1k skills mastered, and I feel like it's going to be a goal for me.
My current goal is to have 1k skills mastered by 3/14, otherwise known as Pi Day 2016.
Currently, at the creation of this blog post, I have 979 skills mastered.
March 6 - 979
March 8 - 983
March 10 - 989
March 12 - 993
March 13 - 1,002!!
March 14 - Goal: 1000
Lucky 1,000 moons!
My lucky badge weekend. Yesterday, I got the lucky 2 thousand edit badge* on here. Today I got the lucky 3 thousand edit badge* on the chat wiki. Then I noticed that I had EXACTLY one thousand moon badges. So now I'm blogging about it.
- I strongly suspect the wiki badges are one thousand off and this should have been the lucky 1k and 2k, instead of 2k and 3k badges.
Blurryface
The song, "Stressed Out" by Twenty One Pilots has been a hot topic, even before this wiki started. One day I was listening to the radio and heard it and looked up the name and group. Shortly thereafter, I was another wiki's chat room when one of their bureaucrats was telling me about this song that he liked and yes, it was this one.
The song really hits home for me, as a woman who is past college and frequently chatting with kids roughly 10 to 16 years of age. I feel like the mama singing you to sleep is about more than that. As an adult, it's just the idea that you have no one. In college, your teachers don't care about your home life. In fact, you'll likely live in a dorm with a roommate.
So I felt drawn to this song and so I made a progr…
Inactivity
Ok, so I was inactive for a few days because my computer was being stupid and I had to factory reset it. I am in the process of getting my files and stuff back on the PC. So here I am, on Internet Explorer. Also, I won't be on chat for the weekends and maybe the last week of March. I might not be on for the next few days as well.

Starting a blog
Today is the first day of my new blog. Every day I will post something interesting about Khan Academy that I found the previous day, so stay tuned, and get ready for some crazy stuff!
Milestone 200!
I hit a mile stone! I have hit a 200 day streak on Khan Academy. Here are some screenshotage from my Khan Academy profile.
Sunsets and achievements
(republished, originally published on KAW)
I just wanted to blog about some of my recent achievements on Khan Academy.
A few weeks ago, I think some of you watched me have a great weekend as I "released" as we call it, my sunset program. It was so exciting. I skyrocketed to the top of the hot list, in one shot, going from being semi known in the coding section, to feel like one of the coding celebrities.
I was up there for more than a full 24 hours. I landed on the hot list high up, and then traveled to number one within an hour. That was on Saturday late afternoon. I fell out of the number one slot sometime Monday when I was not home.
The highlights of this endeavor were that one person said I was the next DY. I'm not, but that's a huge compl…
